Obsessed with Style #i love lanvin

125 years of Lavin Paris.  I can imagine that time flies if you are a member of the  creative team behind one of the fashion world's most influential design houses. Jeanne-Marie Lavin was a style innovator with the kind of genius that not only flourishes with time, but also dictates how the future interprets style and beauty on the human form.

Since Jeanne-Marie's most significant and celebrated expansion was the creation of her perfume line, most notably Arpege, I decided to bypass my clothing collection and instead post a photo of vintage Lanvin fragrances on a classic image of a model doning Lanvin's New Look circa 1950.   By the sheer volume of Facebook followers and twitter hashtags exclaiming "#i love lanvin" it is apparent that this brand has made an indelible impression on the world.

From Paris with Love Artist Nu Barreto Visits Apple's Haberdashery in Buffalo, NY

While in Buffalo for Wisteria School's Distinguished Speaker Series my good friend Nu Barreto stopped by the Wardrobe Salon to see what keeps me so busy and excited each and everyday.  Always engaging in art one way or another, mon Parisian amie, grabbed his camera for an impromptu photo shoot before visiting the many galleries here in WNY. The BENTEN Institute and Wisteria School were sponsors of this event.  Wisteria School provides whole-child education in the spirit of Rudolf Steiner.  The BENTEN Institute's mission is to enlighten the world on the culture and economy of Guinea Bissau and all of the continent of Africa.
